LONG-term Rolls-Royce production is to remain in the UK.
The news came as the company launch its latest model — the £305,000 Phantom Drophead.
And German owners BMW said the 600-strong workforce in Goodwood, West Sussex, may RISE by several hundred to meet demand for further new models.
They have already invested more than £65million on reviving the brand since buying it for just £40million in 1998.
There is already a two-year waiting list for the Phantom Drophead — set to be the world’s most exclusive convertible.
Would-be customers have offered dealers £100,000 to try to jump the queue and an 88-year-old tycoon has paid £1million to get his four weeks before anyone else in the US
