For Sale is my MG Metro Mk2. It is only offered for sale as I have found another very nice Mk1 model that I fancy but that is only if I sell mine.

Below is a link to my website & all the information is with the pictures of the car but basically it is pretty much as mint as you could get, if you want to e really fussy I guess the slam panel could do with a re-paint & there are a few stone chips to the front end.

To my knowledge the car has only been driven in the rain twice in it's entire life & that was by the previous owner on the way home from two shows, one of which was "Saloon Day 2004" which I can vouch for as I was there with my MG ZT260-V8 & remember getting wet! The first owner never took it outside in the rain let alone drive it.

The price is 2695.00.

You realise if this sells, this will be the highest sale price I've seen on an MG Metro for quite some time :)

The most I've seen over the last 5 years or so was 1,200 for a Turbo in great condition?

I know of a mint Mk1 Turbo in North Kent that I looked at earlier this year with 7000 miles on it & that was 5995.00 & he was getting bids of over 7000!!but would only sell it to a true enthusiast (he wanted me to have it)

There is a late Turbo on the Metro forum & another in the MG Enthusiast magazine - both for 2000. A very good Turbo can go for up to 3000 currently.
I know of a couple of Mk1 MG Metro's for 1500 & I looked at a Mk2 MG in Bristol in the Spring for 2795 & mine was better.
There is a Metro Vanden Plas on Car & Classic with 10,000 miles from new in Ireland for 2995.00
I had actually sold the car but said to the guy I wanted to use it for a while as I had actually advertised it before I taxed it & ended up loving driving it & when 5 weeks later I contacted the guy he blew me out!!

6000 for a Metro? I didn't pay that for my almost new Rover 100 back in 1997!

I'm not intending to put anyone off buying this car, its certainly a first class Metro as I know, having seen it on a number of occasions! Well cared for and its been well stored in your heated, dry, showroom for the last couple of years at least. Its certainly made me think about getting another one on more than one occasion

Good luck with the sale :thumbs1:

Thanks Rob. :flag1:

You would be suprised at some of the values for these 80's cars. Someone was in the showroom last week & wanted to swap a 51 plate ZS120+ in Trophy Blue for my 1983 MG Maestro 1600!
Some of the Maestro's are fetching very good money, in particular the Turbo's. I know of two of those that have recently been advertised for 5000.00.

I am open to serious offers over 2000 as I have another car in mind & can't do anything till this one is sold!!
