  1. Further Update

    Sorry I havn't updated this blog much over the last couple of months, but as expected the car has been pretty much uneventful!

    Saying that a few things have happened, for example, I realised that the car has never had its cambelt changed so I queried the local MGR "specialist" for a price and received an initial quote of 950!!!

    Well I can't justify that sort of expenditure on a 1000 car, so I will be shopping around I think!

    The Circuit of the Americas, the new track in Austin, Texas, that will support a Formula One race in November, has been formally opened. Some beauty work should be done, but race legend Mario Andretti took the first lap in the Lotus that won him an F1 championship. It will be home to the first U.S. Grand Prix since 2007.   3. Not much to report

    Very little to report on the ZS... well other than it seems to be running a bit on the thirsty side...



    I will have to see what I can do to bring the MPG up to the same level as the previous MG's... Some research is required then!!

  4. Hmmmm Whats that smell? / Perpetual Motion

    So for the last few days I have been getting in the car and smelling petrol... I couldn't look into it as I was suited and booted while I was in court (family law matter, am litigent in person so can't miss it).

    Turns out the pipe coming from the fuel filter to the front fuel rail had disconnected completely and was p*ssing fuel over the front of the engine...

    Now I have absolutely no frigging idea how my car was still driving... maybe I have accedentely invented a ...

  5. Mg zs 180 2004 mk2

    So a few weeks ago I traded my previous car, a 2003 ZS180 with quite a few mods, for a 2004 ZS180 in Black with the full body kit, large trolly handle on the back (spoiler) and Alcantara seats.
