Where to begin? 2006 has been a phenomenal year for us and we hope it has been for you as well. We'd like to thank you all for visiting our site and contributing to the community at large.

 

Some of our highlights have included kick starting our year with a display at Somerley Park for the Rallye Sunseeker. We then had a tour to the WSR facilities for a behind the scenes view of the Team RAC BTCC team who also provided us with a dedicated display area at Snetterton and an MG ZS race car simulator at Wicksteed Park. To the guys and gals responsible on both sides, we are very grateful for your support during the year, which you have helped make so memorable.

 

Our annual British Car Enthusiasts rally, at Wicksteed Park, has also marked another special occasion, our first birthday! Yes, a whole 12 months had gone by since the first show and the birth of Brit-Cars.com. An extended thanks goes out to all involved in making the day a true success, which we marked by raising over £840 on the day for the deserving Make-A-Wish charity, who came along with the 2 wish families that helped us judge the cars of the show.

 

This month, we've also had a fantastic Christmas Party put on by Hilton Hotels, with record numbers! I'm sure those who attended will all agree that screaming balloons, party poppers, party hooters and helium all make for a great night out in a restaurant, especially when served with some delicious food!

 

It is also great to see the number of new car projects on the go, thank you to those members who share their high quality feedback, knowledge and expertise with us all in great quantities. Thanks also goes to those who have put in endless hours of their personal time and effort to keep us up-to-date with the latest news from the British car industry, both at home and from abroad.

 

So as we approach 500 members and many more guests, we thank you all for taking some time to sign up and say hello, to offer some diversity, pub-chat facts or just the occasional giggle. Whether you may be in the world, whatever you drive, without the contributions each of you has made, we would not be going so strong. 

 

We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, may you enjoy the festive season and we hope that 2007 will bring you many good fortunes.
